Pudalangaai koottu

   






































Ingredients :                                                                  




Pudalangai- 1 cup (cleaned and chopped)

Channa dal - 1/4 cup
 
Turmeric - a pinch
                                                                                             
Salt - To Taste


Coconut - 4 tsp (shreded)
  
Green Chillies - 2 nos

Cumin seeds - 1tsp                                                 
  
Oil - 2 tbs


Mustard seeds - 1 tsp

Urad dal - 1 tsp

Curry leaves - a few


Method:

Cook the chopped  pudalangai   along with turmeric and salt.

Cook channa dal along with a pinch of turmeric and salt. 

After drained the water mix the two items.  

Grind the coconut, green chillies and  cumin seeds  to a fine paste and 

add this to the cooked pudalangai and channa dal .

Pour the oil in the pan and add the mustard seeds. 

When the mustard seeds begins to splutter add  asafoetida  the urad dal and 

fry till it changes its colour and then add the curry leaves.

Now the delicious Pudalangai Kootu is ready to serve.


Add these ingredients to the  koottu.
